For the first few years in my business, I loved using Asana for project management. But after seeing how other creators were organizing their businesses and life on Notion, I had to try it out!

While there’s definitely a learning curve, nothing beats the aesthetic of Notion. I love how clean it looks and how I can customize and organize my whole life on it. You can use it to plan out your to-do list, content ideas, and so much more.

I found that a lot of creators, especially on YouTube, make templates you can use on your own Notion so that you don’t have to build it from scratch. This is what I do, and I highly recommend it to make the process easier.

So if you’re someone who loves a good project management tool with tons of options for organization and customization, check Notion out!

If growing a thriving online business is your goal, you gotta check out Dubsado – a CRM (client relationship management tool) for sending contracts, proposals, invoices, and more.

This tool will help take automating your business to a whole other level! It also provides templates so that creating a contract or invoice is easy.

As someone who considers herself a sustainable creator, I can’t recommend GreenGeeks enough – an eco-friendly web host provider!

I say this all the time, but my favorite thing about my website is that it’s eco-friendly.

The internet is a huge polluter to the environment. GreenGeeks puts back three times the energy they consume into the grid with renewable energy.

Not only that, but my website is fast, secure, and in my experience, the customer service is 5+ stars!

I don’t know where I’d be in my business without Canva! I use it to design social media posts, Instagram stories, flyers, logos, headers, and my favorite–Pinterest Pins.

Creating beautiful on-brand graphics has helped me gain traffic to my social media accounts and website. Canva is free, but if you want access to more features, Canva Pro is worth the price! With Canva Pro, you can even use a branding kit where you save the fonts and colors you want so your branding can stay consistent.

Pinterest with Ell

Speaking of Pinterest Pins… I was able to learn how to design beautiful, click-worthy Pins through the online course Pinterest with Ell.

Pinterest is the most powerful tool I’ve used in my business. It’s the #1 way I’ve been able to drive traffic to my website/blog.

Most of the notifications that pop up on my phone are from people following me on Pinterest, saving my Pins, and clicking through to my site. It’s actually mind-blowing.

Pinterest is a search engine tool. If you learn how to use keywords correctly and design click-worthy Pins, you can drive a lot of traffic to your website or social media accounts.

Everything I’ve learned about Pinterest is thanks to this course. It’s also super affordable compared to most Pinterest courses!

Legal Bundle Templates by Amira Law

Legal Bundle

Did you know your website needs to be legal?

By having pages like Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, and Terms & Conditions that are written by a lawyer, your online business will be protected from lawsuits or being shut down.

But don’t worry — you don’t have to hire a lawyer for this! I use Amira’s DIY Legal Bundle Templates, which are affordable and consistently updated as new laws roll out. (You’ll get access to all updates for free).

These templates are easy to use and come from a trusted source, as Amira is a lawyer and online business owner herself.

I use Linktree to keep all my links in one place and add it to the bio on my social media accounts. This helps my community easily find any links I talk about in my content.

As a website copywriter, I know how important it is to keep all your products, services, and anything else you want to promote in your business on your website.

This is because your website is yours, and you have complete ownership and control of it.

So last year when I released my first-ever digital product, I knew I wanted it on my website. And I was able to do this thanks to WooCommerce!

Now I have a shop on my website, and I absolutely love it. And when I decide to create more digital products in the future, they’ll be added to the shop too. Not only that, but the whole process of adding the shop to my website was a breeze.

As a copywriter and online business owner, I use Grammarly daily! It helps me feel confident about my grammar and punctuation — and I’d even argue it has made me a better writer.

Use it to edit your copy and emails before publishing or hitting send. My clients always appreciate that my work never has any errors. I’ve even had clients so impressed with my work that they hired me to edit their blog posts, website copy, and e-books.

Email lists are essential for a thriving online business because they help you build a deeper connection with your audience. A social media platform can go away at any moment (remember how close we were to losing Twitter and TikTok earlier this year?). But your email list is yours!

Mailerlite is a great option for your business because it’s free for your first 1,000 subscribers. It’s also really easy to use. I definitely recommend it, especially for new businesses!
